Nasiv Kaur Sall

Nasiv Kaur Sall (she/her) is a Canadian-Punjabi dance artist, actor and choreographer.

Since completing her formal dance education with the Arts Umbrella Dance Company, Nasiv has lent her talents to various film, tv and theatre productions and Canadian dance companies and institutions.

As a contemporary dance artist and performer, she has worked with companies Kidd Pivot, Furious Grace Dance Theatre, Out Innerspace Dance Theatre, Anne Plamondon Productions, La Tresse Collective, Mascall Dance, Dance//Novella, CAMP Collective and Belle Spirale.

Nasiv has further extended her talents to the film industry, working as an actor and dancer in various feature films and series for networks Nickelodeon, Disney, The CW, NBC, and Netflix.

How do you feel when you dance?

~ I feel connected, calm, purposeful and powerful.

What kind of dance do you do?

~ Contemporary, ballet, hip hop, jazz, tap, musical theatre and modern

When did you start dancing?

~ I started dancing at 3 years old/22 years ago.

What artist or person has been your greatest inspiration? and why?

~ Little Simz! Little Simz is a British-rapper whose music has had a powerful influence on my life and work. She is unapologetically complex and never conforms to what audiences expect from her. I am inspired by her fearlessness, curiosity, and work ethic.
